We are proud to share that Singularity Legal has been included by Asian Legal Business (ALB) in the “Trailblazer’s 2020”, a list of law firms who have set themselves apart by performing astutely and showcasing innovative ideas to hold fort even during the tumultuous times that we find ourselves in.
In its August, 2020 Asia Edition has introduced the Trailblazer’s 2020, comprising those firms whose unique portfolios display their potential to adapt to the changing times and set the stage to ensure sustainable growth. Small sized firms who have created a niche for themselves in an already competitive world by adopting strategies to overcome various problems caused by the pandemic have also been chosen to be a part of this prestigious list.
We have been granted this recognition for the niche we aim to create for ourselves by reaching the point of ‘singularity’ for international disputes services. At Singularity Legal, we maintain our own advocacy capabilities and are fully connected to a global practice specializing in the resolution of high-end, complex disputes. In furtherance of our one-stop shop model for dispute resolution, in the coming years, we aim to shift our headquarters to Singapore and provide end-to-end transnational dispute services that include allied services other than legal services such as forensic investigation, forensic accounting, data mining and discovery, expert witnesses, valuation and claim quantification, delay analysis, and litigation funding.
At Singularity, we have left behind the baggage that comes with an old school consulting model and have adopted interdependent modularisation as our core principle. This helps minimize the clients’ cost and management time by providing them a mix of internal and external experts in a synchronised but modular team.
We have also kickstarted several initiatives in the past few years to take our impact beyond just strictly legal services. We started ‘The Play True’ initiative, which seeks to create awareness on anti-doping laws in sports and provide pro-bono representation to underprivileged athletes in doping disputes. ‘Expert talk’ is another such initiative which seeks to provide continued digital education to professionals through freely accessible seminars, webinars and a digital library of blogs, alerts, insights and talks on dispute resolution and litigation finance. Our founder, Prateek Bagaria, is also at the forefront for the formation of Indian Association for Litigation Finance, an association of third-party funders, lawyers and industry representatives that can promote and self-regulate the third-party funding of disputes in the Indian market.
The recognition granted by ALB is the latest in a list of accolades that we have been awarded. In our first 1000 days, we were also granted recognition in the following:
ALB is owned by Thomson Reuters. With its portfolio of leading titles, online services, law awards and in-house legal summits, ALB provides unbiased insights and business development opportunities to legal professionals throughout the Asia-Pacific and the Middle East regions.
We are greatly humbled by this recognition, and remain committed to offering innovative, comprehensive and quality dispute resolution services to our clients.
